PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the State administration to undertake a special campaign for fast disposal of the complaints pending for more than 30 days on the CM Helpline 1905. The CM gave the directive while reviewing the status of the complaints registered on the helpline. The CM said if any complaint is closed without taking adequate action, the officer concerned will be held accountable. He said that the CM Helpline-1905 is not just a telephone number but an important medium of the expectations and trust of the State’s people. He directed officials to ensure that every complaint received on the helpline is resolved to the complainant’s complete satisfaction. The CM directed all the department heads and district magistrates to hold regular review meetings to ensure the speedy resolution of pending complaints. He directed that complaints should be reviewed weekly at the DM’s level and at least twice a month at the secretary level. Dhami stated that the true success of the helpline can only be assessed when complainants feel that the government is taking their problems seriously and providing timely and effective solutions. He also directed the officers to communicate directly with complainants to obtain their feedback and to regularly monitor complaints at higher levels. In the meeting the CM was informed that AI data processing and complaint management are being focused for effective implementation of complaints received on the helpline. The officers said that the AI-based process is facilitating the rapid resolution of complaints received in different seasons. It was informed that the complaints concerning drinking water, energy, urban development and home departments are being received with the onset of summers. The officials further informed that Dehradun, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar have received the most complaints in the helpline, while Uttarkashi and Champawat are among the best-performing districts. In the meeting the CM also interacted with best performing officers and praised them. He also spoke with some of the complainants and assured them that their grievance will soon be addressed. Vice chairman Infrastructure Monitoring Council Vishwas Dawar, vice chairman State Disaster Management committee Vinay Ruhela, chief secretary Anand Bardhan, principal secretary L Fanai and secretaries of all the departments attended the meeting. The DMs of all the districts were present through virtual medium.
